Dating in a rural county has its own rules. Everyone knows everyone, transport is thin and the nearest town might be half an hour away. A bit of planning and a willingness to join things go a long way.
Join your local TidyTowns group
There are close to a thousand TidyTowns groups around the country, and they are always glad of help. It is a low pressure way to meet people in your own area. Your county council can put you in touch.

Questions
How do I date discreetly in a small town?
Meet somewhere a little outside your own patch, like the next town over, and keep early dates short. You can take your time on the site before you share much.
Is it worth dating someone an hour away?
Often, yes. Agree to meet halfway, pick a daytime date, and you will soon know if the drive is worth it.
Can I use the site to make friends too?
Yes. Plenty of people join to widen their circle, and you can say so on your profile.
